Company History

American Eagle Hardwoods, Ltd was formed in 2007 where Levi and his brother Henry started buying timber and logging to provide local sawmills with logs. In 2010 we began manufacturing our lumber through a contracted mill. In 2012 we bought out the sawmill that Levi previously worked for which is our current location today.

In 2022, we made a significant investment in our sawmill by replacing our traditional circular saw with a modern band saw system. While this upgrade improved our own efficiency, the true value of this change directly benefits the landowners we work with. The band saw’s thinner blade allows us to get more usable lumber out of every log, meaning less waste and a higher yield. As a result, landowners receive better value for the timber they sell us. The cleaner, more precise cuts from the band saw also allow us to produce higher-grade boards, which increases the overall value of the lumber. This helps us offer competitive pricing and pay landowners fairly and promptly. Additionally, because we can get more from each log, we can be more selective in what we harvest—supporting healthier forests and long-term sustainability. In short, this upgrade means landowners gain more from every tree, both financially and environmentally.
